A trusted contact is a person that you authorize MYRA to contact if we have reasonable belief that your account may be exposed to possible financial exploitation or fraud. A trusted contact person must be age 18 or older.
While it is not mandatory that you do so, FINRA, the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) and staff from the SEC Office of Investor Education and Advocacy urge you to consider providing the name of someone you trust as a contact on your accounts.
To add a trusted contact to your MYRA Invest Accounts, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Log into the MYRA app.
Step 2: Go to Settings
Step 3: Select "Investment Profile"
Step 4: Select "Trusted Contact" from the dropdown.
Step 5: Click on the (+) icon to add a new Trusted Contact.
Note: If you already have a trusted contact, it will be visible on this screen. To update your trusted contact, click the three dots to the right of his/her/their name, and update their information per the next screen.
Step 6: Provide the Trusted Contact's name, relationship, contact info, then SAVE.
Step 7: Check your email that evening. Once you make the changes in your MYRA app, they will be updated in the system. Every evening (at 9:30PM ET), MYRA consolidates your updates and will email you the TD Ameritrade forms for your e-signature. Once TD Ameritrade receives your signature, they'll make the changes for you and send you an email to notify you that the update is complete.
